Hungary Guest of Honour at Slovene Book Fair 2018

The 34th Slovene Book Fair will be held in Ljubljana between 20 and 25 November, where Hungary will feature as the guest of honour. The guest writer of honour will be Péter Nádas.

Péter Nádas will speak with his Slovenian translator about Parallel Stories and its translation. There will be a book launch at the fair for the Slovenian publication of Budapest Noir, while poets Roland Orcsik, István Vörös and Ottó Tolnai will launch The Contemporary Hungarian Poetry Anthology. F. László Földényi has been invited to launch the Slovenian publication of his novel Melancholy, and there will be a showing of the documentary film on Béla Hamvas which has been well-received in Slovenia.



At the Slovene Book Fair in Ljubljana translations of 10 Hungarian works will featured, while 9 authors and literary representatives will take their place onstage, during a total of 24 Hungarian literary events. The programme of the book fair is organised by the Ljubljana Balassi Institute in cooperation with Publishing Hungary.
